How does it work?
YELLOW SIGNAL's consulting and document preparation services can be integrated into your firm’s workflows in two ways in order to match every attorney’s comfort level when retaining an outside consultant. At onset of engagement, your practice will be asked which communication model is preferred- but this preference can always be changed later.
Counsel-centric communication:
In this model, all communication with YELLOW SIGNAL’s FLHSMV Specialist will be relegated to the assigned attorney (and/or a designated “point-of-contact” at the Firm). Counsel-centric communication is ideal for practices who are new to YELLOW SIGNAL’s services as it allows your practice to remain 100% in control of what information your client receives.
Client-direct communication:
For practices that have little to no time to assist their clients on driver’s licensing-related matters, or for those that have developed sufficient confidence in YELLOW SIGNAL’s expertise and professionalism, this model allows your practice to ‘relinquish the reigns’, by allowing direct communication between the client and YELLOW SIGNAL’S FLHSMV Specialist. This communication can occur via telephone calls, texts, and/or Zoom meetings. The assigned attorney can be included on as many or as few of these conversations as is desired.
Implementing client-direct communication is especially helpful for your clients whom are 1st-time DUI offenders and must submit a Waiver of Eligibility Review (or “hardship application”) within their 10-day deadline and, therefore, require a large quantity of information and communication on the front end of representation. Our unique platform allows us to spend more time with each client, providing personalized attention that makes your clients feel heard (not hurried), and frees up your time for other matters.
In this model, your clients need not ever know that YELLOW SIGNAL's FLHSMV Specialist is not a member of your firm staff- unless making that explicitly clear is your preference!
Guarantee & Policy:
Because YELLOW SIGNAL LLC’s FLHSMV Specialist is a paralegal, rather than a licensed attorney, YELLOW SIGNAL, LLC, cannot offer legal advice to the general public. Therefore, regardless of which communication model as described above you choose, all actions performed by YELLOW SIGNAL, LLC, must be done under the supervision of- and at the direction of- a licensed attorney. Accordingly, any matters which will require exercising discretion, practicing independent judgement, interpreting laws, or any other actions which could be construed as “unlicensed practice of law” pursuant to the ethical rules of the Florida Bar and/or to Florida Statutes will always receive prior approval by the assigned attorney. YELLOW SIGNAL, LLC’s consulting services regarding FLHSMV administrative rules is not legal advice, nor should it be construed as such.
